Established in 1999 by the State of Rhode Island, the Child Support Lien Network (CSLN) combines data from delinquent child support obligor records into one accessible, easy-to-use database for the purpose of intercepting insurance settlements owed to delinquent child support obligors. Currently Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia participate in CSLN. Additional States may join CSLN through the execution of an interstate agreement with Rhode Island.

New law compelling Child Support data exchange for workers’ compensation, personal injury and wrongful death claims has a fast approaching deadline of November 1.

A new Oklahoma law that goes into effect November 1, 2007 contains a provision that directly affects workers’ compensation, wrongful death and personal injury awards. This new law changes insurers’ relationship with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services’ (OKDHS) Child Support Enforcement Division (CSED), division officials said. (more...)

MO Collected Double-Digit Payments

The Missouri Child Support Enforcement Agency attributes an increase of more than $600,000 in support payments resulting from CSLN matches. Double-digit collections on single matches alone translated into more than $170,000 in child support payments since MO joined in 2004. (more...)
