What Happens Next?

Under Nevada law, insurance settlements and benefits are considered income and subject to garnishment for payment of court ordered child support obligations. Once a match is identified, an Income Withholding Order (IWO) is sent to the insurance company to intercept disbursement of the claimant / obligor's settlement or benefits for payment of child support.

Remit payments to:

State Collection and Disbursement Unit (SCaDU)
Post Office Box 98950
Las Vegas, NV 89193-8950

Please include the name of the claimant / obligor and the Social Security Number or child support case number (provided on the IWO) with the remittance.
