New Hampshire Insurance Industry OutreachNew Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated § 161-C:3-f, allows New Hampshire’s Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) to intercept insurance settlement payments claimed by individuals who owe past-due child support and who are subject to a child support lien. To facilitate the process of intercepting such payments, DCSS, along with other state Child Support Agencies around the country, is making its delinquent child support obligor information available to insurance companies through this secure website. Although there are many remedies available for collecting child support, an intercepted insurance settlement may be the only way a family can recover years of unpaid child support. This website was designed, developed and tested in cooperation with an advisory committee of Rhode Island insurance companies and representatives of other insurance companies across the nation. A pilot test of this website has shown that there is money available from insurance settlements that can be intercepted to repay past-due child support. Information is provided on this website to explain how your company can use the website to help us collect past-due child support. We are confident that you will find this web-enabled application to be fast, easy to use and a good fit with your company’s existing business strategy for technology. Your participation will help to ensure that children receive the financial support they are entitled to. On behalf of the children of New Hampshire who will benefit from this program, I thank you in advance for your efforts. Sincerely,
