 CSLNewsCT Custodial Parent Received $37,000 Child Support Payment The Connecticut Bureau of Child Support Enforcement (BCSE) featured a CSLN article in its monthly newsletter contributed by David Shonta, Child Support Lead Investigator with the BCSE Administrative Office. The following is a short passage from that article: “There have been many success stories in our State with this pioneering program. After making no support payments for over three years, one obligor was identified as a claimant in a settlement by CSLN. We were able to present the custodial parent with a check for $37,000.00. “The custodial parent wrote back and stated, ‘I've been notified that the funds are in CT from an out of state origin and are ready for disbursement. AMAZING!!! You have gone where everyone else failed.’” Said Shonta: “Her feelings are indicative of the many struggling single
parents who have benefited from the work we do with CSLN.” |
