Arkansas Insurance Commissioner Recommends CSLN to Insurance Industry

We are pleased to make all of the CSLN member states aware of a recently published article recommending the Child Support Lien Network (CSLN). On March 2, 2004, in a trade journal for property casualty insurers, Arkansas Insurance Commissioner Mike Pickens issued a recommendation for CSLN. In the article, it stated that he sent his recommendation out to all licensed property/casualty insurance companies, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), trade associations and other interested parties. In the article, Pickens specifically referred to CSLN as "an innovative tool to collect past due child support." His article already has had a positive effect for CSLN as several new insurance companies have contacted CSLN expressing an interest in participating with the insurance claim matching process.
