2003 Proves a Very Good Year for Increasing Insurance Partnerships
The Child Support Lien Network now maintains data on almost 2 million delinquent
obligors who owe $38 Billion in past due support from our 14 state members.
Not only has CSLN increased the number of member states significantly with the
additions of California, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, New Jersey, Texas, Virginia,
and Iowa, but also has had great success with outreach efforts to insurance
companies. In the past year alone, CSLN has significantly increased our partnerships
with the country’s top casualty insurance companies. During 2003, CSLN
obtained access to the claims of Liberty Mutual Insurance Group, Continental
Insurance Group and American International Group. CSLN now electronically interfaces
with claim information from 10 out of the top 16 casualty insurance companies
in America, plus many other companies in the top 100. More and more insurers
have come to recognize their increasing role and responsibility to assist children
who are owed so much. And they have come to trust in the Child Support Lien
Network for the implementation of an administrative process. Child Support is
now becoming a small but very important part of an insurance company’s
customer service and good will efforts. CSLN continues to aggressively deliver
the message to all insurers that their participation with CSLN will foster positive
community relationships by their helping families and children through increased
child support collections from insurance claim interceptions.
